Junior Instruction

   Stewart Tennis Academy

We promote a family atmosphere of intense training, camaraderie, and fun. We believe our players will learn and acquire lifelong skills and values through participation in this program.

As players progress through the levels of instruction they are expected to make a more serious commitment.  Being a part of these groups is a privilege and requires players to attend classes at least twice a week, in addition to practicing outside of class time.

All academy players have a junior membership at GTC for the duration of the academy season.  The membership includes use of the courts, ball machine, youth center, and charge privileges.

Participation in organized sports, such as tennis, provides healthy opportunities for tomorrow’s leaders to:

  •  Set and achieve goals
  • Build character
  • Develop self-confidence and leadership abilities
  • Learn cooperative skills
  • Build a sense of community
  • Initiate a healthy lifestyle11070531_1057016384314515_3382133120794619023_n

  Program Levels

Beginner – The first level in our program.  It is for players that are new to tennis.

Academy – This group is divided into three separate skill levels.  They attend classes during the same time so students are able to mentor and/or emulate other members of the academy.

Stewart Elite–This group is at the top of our academy tiers.  It consists of players that have decided to make tennis a priority, and are working on rankings and competition play.  This program is for players wishing to play college tennis.

Fall classes register in August each year.

Players are placed in groups by age and ability.
